The Government of the Russian Federation has been given instructions on completing the Central Ring Road project in Moscow Region. To eliminate delays in the first phase of the project, the Government has been instructed to weekly monitor work progress, sufficiency of material, technical and labour resources, and adherence to a single schedule, as well as to take measures to prevent an increase in project costs.
Further instructions to the Government and the executive authorities of Moscow and Moscow Region concern working out measures to stimulate the creation in the Central Ring Road area of a transport and logistics hub and other facilities to form an “employment belt” in Moscow Region, as well as synchronising infrastructure projects in the main transport corridors of Moscow Region, including the Central Ring Road and railways of the Moscow transport hub.
The Prosecutor General's Office, the Investigative Committee and the Accounts Chamber have been instructed to check that the interests of the Russian Federation are observed when concluding and executing government contracts and to make sure that any increases in the Central Ring Road construction costs are justified.
