2012 prizes for young scientists

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Awarding the Russian Federation President’s Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists for 2012.

Having examined the proposals of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, Vladimir Putin made the decision to award the 2012 President’s Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists and the honorary title of the laureate of the President’s Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists to:

Nadezhda Bokach, DSc in Chemistry, Associate Professor of St Petersburg State University, for achievements in the development of modern methods of organic synthesis with platinum group metals;

Fedor Ignatov, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, senior researcher at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Kornely Todyshev, researcher of the same institution, for their work investigating the properties of elementary particles in colliding electron-positron beams;

Andrei Usachev, DSc in History, Professor, Russian State University for the Humanities, for his contribution to the study of 16th century Russian literature;

Dmitry Chudakov, DSc in Biology, head of the Laboratory of Genomics of Adaptive Immunity at the M.Shemyakin-Yu.Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, for the development of genetically encoded fluorescent markers for the visualisation of objects and processes in biomedical research.
