The Federal Law extends the effect of the approval procedures set forth in the Federal Law On Procedures for Foreign Investments in Business Entities of Strategic Importance for National Defence and State Security to cases wherein foreign investors make transactions involving acquisition, ownership or use of the property of business entities that have strategic significance, if such property pertains to the fixed production assets and its cost is equivalent to 25% or more of the cost of the assets of such business entity. This also concerns other activities that are not considered transactions but result in foreign business entities establishing control over such business entities.
