The Federal Law envisages that the Russian Government cannot decide to close down a gambling zone until ten years have passed since the zone’s establishment.
Under the Federal Law’s provisions, the gambling zone established in Krasnodar Territory prior to the entry into force of Federal Law No 278-FZ of 22 July, 2014, On Amendments to the Federal Law on State Regulation of Activities to Organise and Conduct Gambling and on Amendments to other Russian Laws must be closed down by January 1, 2019.
