The Federal Law is designed to improve the regulation of the procedure to grant subsoil users with the right to use sections of the Russian Federation’s continental shelf.
To accomplish this, Article 7 of the Federal Law On the Continental Shelf of the Russian Federation, which established the provision of sections of the continental shelf for use without auctions, is voided.
