The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to ensure the preparation of a short-term prognosis regarding the number of people who may become infected with the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Government was also instructed to take measures to form a unified federal reserve which will include personal protective equipment for medical workers, medical equipment, medications, disinfectants and other necessary means for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19, and to create a mechanism for an immediate provision of resources from the reserve to medical organisations.
The Defence Ministry was instructed to submit proposals on the possibility of involving special forces and resources of the Russian Armed Forces in combatting the spread of COVID-19.
The Government, together with regional executive bodies, is to create a rapid response mechanism to the emerging epidemiological situation in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, and to ensure the availability of a sufficient number of specialised hospital beds for patients with COVID-19, and of medical teams trained to provide medical care to such patients.
