The Federal Law is aimed at ensuring the sanitary-epidemiological safety of the population.
The Federal Law envisages the creation, operation and development of a federal state information system containing sanitary-epidemiological information and providing information on the sanitary-epidemiological safety of the population.
It is established that in cases provided for by Russian Federation law, foreign citizens and stateless persons must complete medical examination to determine the presence or absence of infectious diseases that pose a threat to others, and illnesses caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection). These medical examinations shall be conducted at medical institutions on the territory of Russia unless otherwise provided for by an international treaty of the Russian Federation or a federal law.
The results of medical examinations should be added to the federal state information system.
