The Federal Law ratifies the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Administrative Matters Concerning the Exchange of Personal Data, which was signed in Moscow on December 18, 2020.
This Agreement between the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States is aimed at providing mutual legal assistance in administrative matters concerning the exchange of personal data in accordance with national legislation and the provisions of the Agreement.
Under the Agreement, a request for legal assistance can be denied if the Requested Party believes that the fulfilment of the request could be detrimental to the sovereignty, security, public order or other substantial interests of the Party, or for other reasons.
