Amendments to law on general principles of organising legislative and executive bodies of state power in Russia’s federal constituent entities 2010-12-29 11:30:00 Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 18 of the Federal Law On General Principles Governing the Organisation of Legislative (Representative) and Executive Bodies of State Power in the Constituent Entities of the Russian Federation. In accordance with the amendments, the job title of the highest-level official of a Russian federal constituent entity, as set forth by the constitution (charter) of that federal constituent entity in accordance with historical, ethnic, or other traditions, cannot contain words or phrases contained in the job title of the head of state: the President of the Russian Federation. The constitutions (charters) of the Russian federal constituent entities must be brought into compliance with the Federal Law by January 1, 2015.
