Working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Surkov 2012-04-04 17:30:00 Dmitry Medvedev discussed with Mr Surkov the state of progress in implementing presidential instructions on wage increases for some categories of education sector workers and social workers. Mr Surkov informed the President that teachers’ wages nationwide have now been raised to the average wage in each particular region. Implementation of wage rises for health sector workers is still in progress. The programme for modernising preschool education facilities could get underway in 2013 or early 2014. The possibility of holding the G8 summit, which Russia will host in 2014, at the Skolkovo innovation centre in Moscow Region, was also discussed at the meeting.
