The event was attended by Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov, representatives of federal and regional authorities, as well as municipalities of the Moscow Region, public and religious organisations, and the expert community.
In his speech, Magomedsalam Magomedov noted that the interethnic relations situation, despite a slight negative trend due to recent high-profile events, remains stable and manageable. He pointed out that the external information influence of pro-Western structures and the migration factor are negatively impacting the situation. At the same time, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office emphasised the need for continuous improvement of the mechanisms for implementing state national policy at the local level to address current challenges and threats.
The meeting participants paid special attention to migration policy, particularly the need to enhance efforts for adapting and integrating foreign and new citizens of the Russian Federation, with a focus on aligning these efforts with the interests of the local population.
Following the meeting, relevant decisions were made.
During the working trip, Magomedsalam Magomedov and Igor Shchegolev also held a working meeting with the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov. They discussed support measures for special military operation participants, the region’s economic and social development, and issues related to interethnic and interfaith relations.
