The new legislation extends the validity period of a unified e-visa from 60 to 120 days, while also increasing the permitted stay for foreign citizens in the Russian Federation from 16 to 30 days.
Additionally, the Federal Law allows crossing the state border outside designated routes and checkpoints only with prior authorisation from the Border Agency of the Federal Security Service (FSB). In all other cases, border crossings outside established routes and points remain prohibited.
