The message reads, in part: “Your enterprise has rich history and glorious labour traditions. Founded in 1944, it brought together a constellation of talented scientists, engineers, and specialists led by outstanding designer Vladimir Chelomei. Their research served as a foundation for the production of domestic rocket and space equipment and made an invaluable contribution to building a nuclear shield to reliably protect our country. It is important that today the team of NPO Mashinostroyeniya preserves and builds on the legacy of its legendary predecessors, does a lot to strengthen Russia’s defence capability and security, to preserve its leadership positions in studying and exploring outer space.”
