The Federal Law toughens criminal liability for discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces, calling for the imposition or extension of sanctions against the Russian Federation, or assisting in the implementation of resolutions from international organisations in which the Russian Federation does not participate, or decisions of foreign government bodies on the criminal prosecution of Russian government officials or other individuals for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation, for personal gain or for hire.
Any property obtained as a result of such criminal acts, as well as property used or designated to finance such criminal acts, shall be confiscated upon conviction.
Corresponding amendments shall be made to the Criminal Procedural Code of the Russian Federation with respect to laying of the venue for criminal cases related to calls for the imposition or extension of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
