Russian-Indian talks 2011-12-16 14:00:00 The Kremlin, Moscow Dmitry Medvedev held talks at the Kremlin with Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh. Following their talks, Mr Medvedev and Mr Singh adopted a joint declaration on continued strengthening of the Russian-Indian strategic partnership. The two leaders also witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation agreements, in particular Protocol No. 2 to the Intergovernmental Agreement of October 3, 2000, on provision of technical assistance in organising production of SU-30MKI aircraft. Also signed were an educational exchange programme between Russia’s Education and Science Ministry and India’s Human Resources Development Ministry, a memorandum of understanding between the Russian Federal Anti-Monopoly Service and India’s Federal Competition Commission, a memorandum between Russia’s Federal Healthcare and Social Development Monitoring Service and India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, and a protocol of intent between the Siberian Agreement regional association and India’s Department of Science and Technology on treatment and safe use of fly ash. Mr Medvedev and Mr Singh gave a joint news conference following the signings. Following their talks, Mr Medvedev and Mr Singh met with Russian and Indian business community representatives.
