1983: completed his studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
1983–1989: worked at Soyuzneftexport Foreign Trade Company.
1989–1991: department head at the Urals Soviet-Dutch Joint Enterprise.
1991–2012: executive director of Solvalub Group.
1999–2001: chairman of Interkhimprom joint board.
2001–2002: president of Azot Agrochemical Corporation.
2001–2004: president of fertiliser industry’s development fund.
2004–2010: CEO of Gas Market Coordinator non-profit partnership.
2006–2012: chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Abrau-Dyurso company.
June 2012 – present: Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights.

2000–2005: member of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs’ administrative office.
2006–2009: member of the Russian Federation Civic Chamber.
2004–2012: chairman of Delovaya Rossiya (Business Russia) All-Russia Public Organisation.

Married, with two children.
