Preparations for celebrating the 1150th anniversary of the Russian Statehood in 2012 were discussed separately.
Mr Mitin told the President that Veliky Novgorod, one of the oldest cities in Russia, is actively engaged in these preparations. In 2009 the city celebrated its 1150th anniversary.
