The President of Russia paid an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
On October 12, Vladimir Putin held talks with President of Kyrgyzstan
Sadyr Japarov. Following the talks, the leaders made media statements and spoke
at an official event marking the 20th anniversary of establishing a Russian
air base in Kant. The Russian leader also had a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
On October 13, Vladimir Putin had a meeting with
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and took part in the meeting of the CIS
Heads of State Council in a restricted and expanded format. After the official
events the President answered media questions.
