Working trip to Khabarovsk Territory

During his working trip to Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Ivanov Ivanov Sergei Ivanov SergeiSpecial Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport held a meeting with governors in the Far East on overcoming the effects of the flood, toured the Zaton dam and a long-term housing facility for citizens.

Sergei Ivanov noted that the objective for all levels of government, from the Kremlin to the municipalities, is to restore normal living conditions and resolve the most pressing problems.

Mr Ivanov stressed that new housing for those affected by the flood should be built by mid-2014 and demanded faster work by commissions assessing housing in flooded areas for suitability for residence.

Sergei Ivanov also had a working meeting with Governor of Khabarovsk Territory Vyacheslav Shport.

In addition, Mr Ivanov participated in a presentation ceremony for Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, who was appointed to this position in August.

Upon completing his trip to Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Ivanov answered questions from journalists.
