The two Presidents exchanged warm congratulations on Victory Day, a common holiday for the Russian and Ukrainian peoples, and shared their impressions on the celebrations to honour war veterans that took place in both countries.
Mr Putin and Mr Yanukovych also discussed preparations for the informal Commonwealth of Independent States summit that will take place in Moscow later this month.
