Mr Putin and Mr Blair had a detailed discussion of relevant international problems. Both stressed the necessity for close attention to regional conflicts, and close coordination of action for their political settlement.
In this connection, as Mr Putin summarised his talks with the leaders of China, India and Kyrgyzstan earlier that week, he said he was sure that the negotiations would make a practical contribution to international partnership at the regional and global levels.
They also discussed relevant aspects of Russian-British relations.
