Mr Putin and Mr Chirac expressed their high opinion of the major bilateral events of November 2002 – the first meeting of the Russian-French Security Cooperation Council and the 8th meeting of the Russian-French Commission on Bilateral Cooperation at the prime-ministerial level. They said that the agreements signed at the meetings provided a sound basis for the Russian President’s state visit to France, scheduled for the first quarter of 2003.
The two Presidents had a detailed discussion of a wide range of international issues. They confirmed their shared intention to further improve coordination of actions for political settlement of relevant global problems.
