Russia’s position on Iraq is supported by the majority of the United Nations’ member states, the majority of the UN Security Council permanent and non-permanent members, President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with Bulgarian journalists.
War is an extreme measure, always fraught with adverse consequences and a terrorist threat for the region. It would do anything but consolidate the international anti-terrorist coalition. Mr Putin expressed hope that all the parties would observe the basic principles of international law, which would help to arrive at a solution acceptable for all.
