Vladimir Putin said that Russia was ready to broaden and strengthen relations with the Czech Republic in order to give a new quality to their bilateral partnership.
The Russian head of state noted that the two countries were recently able to solve many economic problems, including the debt issue, but said that the pace of the development of Russian-Czech relations still lagged behind the relations between Russia and the other countries in Western and Eastern Europe.
President Putin expressed hope that Vaclav Klaus’s visit to Moscow would help to promote Russian-Czech dialogue in key areas of cooperation.
