The message reads:
“I highly value the trusting, open personal dialogue on key international and regional issues. During your visit to Moscow in September 2003 we agreed on a fundamental expansion of Russian-Saudi interaction in various areas. And it is pleasing to note that today, multilateral friendly relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia are developing progressively.
Active contacts between the Russian Federal Assembly and the Consultative Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be an important direction in this work. The creation of a Consultative Council group for relations with the Russian Federal Assembly and a Russian State Duma group for relations with the Saudi Arabian Consultative Council also open up new opportunities. I am sure that establishing closer relations with the Russian parliament will make an important and positive contribution to developing bilateral cooperation between our countries.“
The message was passed on to Federation Council member and coordinator of the Federation Council’s Russian-Arab inter-parliamentary group Ramazan Abdulatipov.
