The Russian President and his wife arrived the Chankaya residence. An honorary guard was already standing in the courtyard of the Presidential complex.
The Presidents of the two countries ascended a special podium, and a military orchestra played the national anthems of Russia and Turkey, accompanied by gun salutes. Then Mr Putin and Mr Sezer, along with their wives, walked past the guard. In accordance with the rules of Turkish protocol, the Russian President greeted the soldiers in Turkish.
