The two Presidents first met privately and then were joined by the members of their delegations.
The meeting discussed developing cooperation in the energy sector, looked at projects currently being carried out in this area and examined plans for future cooperation.
Representing Russia at the talks were Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Chief Executive Officer of Gazprom Alexei Miller and Chief Executive Officer of RAO Unified Energy Systems Anatoly Chubais. Taking part in the talks on the Armenian side were Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, Energy Minister Armen Movsisian and the head of Armrosgazprom, Karen Karapetian.
Following the talks, Mr Putin and Mr Kocharian answered journalists’ questions.
