The federal law provides for increasing administrative penalties for infringing the legislation of the Russian Federation with respect to protecting the environment, that is, not respecting ecological requirements when planning, designing, constructing and using enterprises, facilities or other installations; not respecting ecological and sanitary requirements with respect to handling production waste or other dangerous substances; infringing rules related to handling pesticides and agrochemicals; infringing the legislation on ecological review.
At the same time articles establishing the administrative responsibility for not paying for a negative impact on the environment within the required time frame were added to the Russian Federation's Code of Administrative Offences.
