The forum opened the Year of the CIS, which is being celebrated this year at Russia’s initiative to mark the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The forum was attended by 300 delegates from the CIS countries, 250 representatives of the different regions and 100 honorary guests and officials.
The forum’s main theme is a quality renewal of humanitarian and cultural cooperation in the CIS.
