The President’s message reads, in particular:
“Today, terrorism, organised crime and religious extremism have become trans-national phenomenon that pose a serious challenge to the lives and the rights of our citizens and undermine our social and economic stability. Successfully combating these threats depends in large part on coordinated and concerted action by all the CIS countries and effective cooperation between our law enforcement agencies.
I hope that your conference will help to develop the international legal foundation and the practical tools for security cooperation between the CIS countries and make a significant contribution to the international community’s efforts to combat these modern threats and challenges.”
