The Federal Law ratifies the amendments to the Charter and the 1992 Convention of the International Telecommunication Union signed in Marrakesh on October 18, 2002.
The amendments aim at giving states a greater role in ensuring the effective operation of the International Telecommunication Union.
The amendments clarify procedures for choosing the class of membership dues and also set out the rights and obligations of elected officials.
These amendments will make the management and working methods of the International Telecommunication Union more transparent.
