Dmitry Medvedev made amendments to the Statute on Procedures for Granting Russian Citizenship

The amendments provide for priority rights for the acquisition of Russian citizenship by former USSR citizens who obtained a residence permit after July 1, 2002. The amendments also concern regulations on the citizenship of children under the age of 14.
