President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Your Highness, friends, good afternoon. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Russia.

I am happy to note that relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates are developing successfully. We have good political relations and our economic cooperation is growing: in the past four years, trade between our countries has grown manifold.

Our investment cooperation is also expanding. We have great trust in your investment funds and corresponding institutions in the Russian Federation have established ties with them.

Your Highness, I am also very glad to meet with you to exchange views on the situation in the region, which remains complicated both in terms of Israeli-Palestinian relations, and in other areas. We are concerned about the developments in Iraq and Libya. In other words, we have many matters to talk about. Your opinion on this situation is important for us.

We are very happy to see you, Your Highness, and to welcome you to Russia.

Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (retranslated): Thank you very much, Mr President. I am happy to meet with you here in this wonderful city.

Thank you for finding the time for me in your very busy schedule.

I can say that Russia plays a very serious role in Middle Eastern affairs. However, there is no doubt that we have a privileged relationship. We have great goals to achieve in our cooperation, and if we succeed, it will develop even more actively.

Thank you very much, Mr President.
