Along with current social and economic matters, the agenda included discussions on the situation in Donbass and the situation in the Middle East, particularly Syria, including various aspects of the struggle against the ‘Islamic State’.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
