In his message, the President said, in particular:
“Healthcare development, keeping people healthy, improving the demographic situation and protecting the environment are all issues that receive the state authorities’ priority attention. It is important that these issues are the central focus of this forum’s agenda and are at the heart of the work done by influential public organisation League for the Nation’s Health. This organisation’s large-scale educational, information and charity projects deserve our highest recognition and play a big part in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, disease prevention, and developing effective policies on serious issues such as preventing the spread of drug addiction and alcoholism in our society, especially among young people.
I am sure this forum will be substantial and constructive and will help to unite the efforts of civil society institutions and the state authorities on key problems such as improving our country’s healthcare system and raising our people’s quality of life.”
The Nation’s Health forum is an annual public interdisciplinary event dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and protecting public health. The forum’s main theme this year is organising dialogue between the authorities and the public to implement the concept of a common health protection and disease prevention environment.
As part of the forum, a national exhibition is taking place of federal and regional social projects in the area of healthy lifestyle promotion, health protection, environmental safety, developing education, physical culture, and sports. The best projects will receive the Forum’s medals, diplomas and souvenir insignia.
The forum is taking place on April 28–30 in Moscow.
