Meeting with permanent members of the Security Council

The meeting participants discussed the foreign policy results of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum Background information St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) and looked at the Russian market’s attractiveness for foreign investors in light of the issues raised in Mr Putin’s address at the forum’s plenary session.

The participants also exchanged views on the President’s agenda for the upcoming days, discussing matters relating to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Background information Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in the context of Mr Putin’s visit to Uzbekistan on June 23, and Russian-Chinese relations in the context of the President’s visit to China on June 25.

Current socioeconomic issues on the domestic agenda were also discussed at the meeting.
