I am certain that Russian Railways can be deservedly proud of the results achieved: you are operating without a loss, have reduced the tariff burden on the economy, and have raised labour productivity. Today, you have equally important goals ahead, above all in terms of increasing traffic volume, developing and introducing modern and high-tech transport products, increasing the quality of service and comfort levels for passengers, and expanding the range of services on offer. Of course, you must also make more active use of advanced foreign experience, modern logistics and management schemes, and the achievements of Russia’s science, design and engineering”.
