”Our country is deservedly proud of its established traditions of military sports and possesses enormous experience in organising such ambitious international competitions – all the more so as these Games are being held in Sochi, where some of the latest high-tech sports infrastructure has been built.
During the next few days, the best military athletes from many countries will display not only their sports skills but also qualities that are crucial for service members: the ability to act rapidly and proactively with cohesion and precision.
I am certain that the 3rd CISM Military World Winter Games will take place at a high level and reaffirm its slogan, ‘Friendship Through Sports.’ And, of course, they will greatly contribute to strengthening partnership between our countries.“
