The message reads, in part:
“Those who gathered at this meeting today are proactive and committed young people from many Russian regions, who won the right to represent the Volunteers of Victory, a major prominent youth organisations focused on perpetuating military and historical memory.
Each and every one of you has made a tangible contribution to developing the volunteer movement and carrying out much-needed, useful and socially relevant projects.
Your creative energy and willingness to engage in earnest in order to benefit those in need of assistance enabled you to succeed in this contest and obtain the right to take part in organising Victory Day celebrations in Moscow and Sevastopol, as well as the traditional Immortal Regiment march.
This is an immense honour and responsibility. You will meet new people by attending meetings with Great Patriotic War veterans, military personnel and military historians.
I am confident that as young, creative and enthusiastic people you will be able to organise these important events at the highest level in order to make them truly memorable.”
