President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Mr President, friends, I would like to warmly welcome you.
Today, we will have an opportunity to discuss all matters of mutual interest on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
I would like to start by drawing your attention to the fact that trade between our countries is on the rise, which is also the case when it comes to a number of our other partners. Of course, this is marvellous news. The Development Fund is operating, so I think that we have things to talk about, positive examples of cooperation to share. There are a number of traditional priority fields that are advancing quite steadily, I believe.
Today, we have an opportunity to consider with our colleagues in an extended format ways of expanding our cooperation within this economic organisation, which, in my view, offers the necessary conditions for stepping up collaboration and ties.
All in all, I am very happy to see you. Welcome.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov: Mr President, it gives me great pleasure to be able to have a meeting with you and to discuss matters that are important for our countries.
First, I would like to congratulate you on your official inauguration as President of the Russian Federation. Under your leadership, Russia has achieved so much.
I strongly believe that under your leadership Russia will become even more successful in its domestic and foreign policy undertakings, and we sincerely wish your country all the very best.
It is with satisfaction that I note enhanced activity in our dialogue in almost all spheres of cooperation between our countries since the beginning of this year.
For my part, I would like to reaffirm Kyrgyzstan’s unwavering commitment to enhancing multilateral cooperation with Russia, our strategic partner and main ally.
Thank you so much for your warm welcome and hospitality, which we experienced the minute we touched down on Russian soil.
Thank you very much.
