Together with Governor of the Tula Region Alexei Dyumin Dyumin Alexei Dyumin AlexeiAide to the President , the President inspected the assembly shops for heavyweight and soft-skin vehicles, as well as the machining shop. Alexei Visloguzov, general director of Shcheglovsky Val, described the assembly process to the head of state.

Shcheglovsky Val is a machine-building plant, a division of the Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician Shipunov; it has been manufacturing military products since 2004.

Established in 1927, today the Instrument Design Bureau is an integrated defence industry enterprise specialising in the development of weapons systems for combat tactical zone, such as air defence systems, anti-tank missile systems, weapons systems for soft-skin vehicles and tanks, precision-guided artillery systems, and joint missile systems.
