Vladimir Putin paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack in Beslan

The President visited the City of Angels memorial cemetery, where he laid flowers at the Tree of Sorrow, a monument to the hostages who lost their lives, and a monument to officers of the Alfa and Vympel special forces killed during the assault.

The City of Angels memorial complex is a burial place for 266 out of 334 victims of the terrorist attack in Beslan on September 1–3, 2004, most of them children.
