“It is gratifying that your forums are becoming a good tradition, and today the Republic of Altai is once again warmly welcoming leading scholars, experts, and government representatives from Russia and abroad.
The current conference, with its open and constructive discussions, is devoted to examining a wide range of scientific issues in Turkic and Altaic studies, as well as matters related to the origins of other Eurasian peoples – for this continent is rightly regarded as the cradle of many ancient civilisations.
I am confident that the shared chapters of history, the military and labour achievements of our ancestors, should serve as a solid foundation for the successful development of interregional and international cultural cooperation, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding among peoples.”
