“Your meeting has traditionally brought together representatives of government authorities, employers and trade unions, as well as public and educational organisations. This direct and open dialogue is important for a comprehensive discussion of key issues related to building up the personnel potential of the national economy and therefore to our country’s development prospects.
Over the past period, the national qualifications system has confidently completed the development stage and the stages of legislative and organisational consolidation, and, starting this year, is being implemented as part of the Personnel national project. Almost 600,000 individuals have undergone an independent evaluation of their professional qualities. In some areas of business, this procedure has even become a mandatory condition for being permitted to work.
It is important to continue raising the level of education, retraining, and adaptation of specialists, to pool the efforts of employers and government institutions to create an up-to-date and competitive labour market and a market of highly relevant personnel resources of the future.
I am confident that the proposals and recommendations made during the forum will help to address these significant socioeconomic tasks.”
