The message reads, in part:
“It is my pleasure to welcome you to the inaugural Russian Space Forum, the central event of Space Week taking place across the nation.
This year, Russia and the entire world commemorate the 65th anniversary of Yury Gagarin’s legendary flight. This historic launch stands as one of the greatest events of the 20th century, heralding a new era in the annals of civilisation. We take sincere pride in the successive generations of talented scientists, designers, cosmonauts, and both military and civilian specialists who were at the forefront of the national space programme, adding vivid, heroic chapters to the chronicles of its victories and achievements.
Today, the advancement of the rocket and space sector, alongside the strengthening of its scientific, human resources, and technological potential, remains among our unconditional priorities. I would like to underscore that to progress and sustain leading positions in space exploration, it is imperative to consolidate efforts among the state, business, and research communities along this strategic course, and to collectively address the large-scale challenges necessitated by the times in enhancing the production base and ground infrastructure of the industry. It is of utmost importance to expand satellite constellations and to widely integrate new materials, digital, and nuclear technologies.
I am convinced that the innovative development of Russia, the improvement of the level and quality of people’s lives, the provision of the country’s defence capability and security, and the sovereignty of the Fatherland are directly contingent upon the effective implementation of space programmes.”
