For more than a quarter of a century, on Social Worker’s Day, we have honoured representatives of a wide range of professions who serve in boarding institutions and veterans’ homes, medical and social service centres, and support people with disabilities, low-income families, and children deprived of parental care. It is especially important that volunteer and religious organisations, as well as businesses, actively support government agencies in this vital and large-scale work. The role of social entrepreneurship is also steadily increasing. Such close and productive cooperation contributes to improving the quality, effectiveness, and accessibility of social services, while fostering the successful implementation of best practices, promising initiatives, and innovative projects.
