The message reads, in part:
“The Anti-Fascist Committee of Soviet Women was established 85 years ago. During the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War, this influential public organisation played a major role in the patriotic consolidation of our people and in strengthening the unity of countries fighting Nazism.
We will always remember the heroic feats of women who went to the front, became pilots, signallers, snipers, doctors and nurse’s assistants. They operated industrial lathes, selflessly worked on agricultural fields, fought bravely in partisan units and the anti-fascist underground. They brought Victory closer.
It is gratifying that the Union of Women of Russia worthily continues the traditions of serving Russia. You are actively involved in implementing national development projects, significant initiatives aimed at strengthening the institution of the family and family values, and raising the younger generation. I would like to specially note your comprehensive support for participants and veterans of the special military operation and their families.”
