President Vladimir Putin heard a report by Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov on the completion of naval strategic nuclear forces' exercises 2006-09-10 18:40:11 Baltiisk, Kaliningrad Region Mr Ivanov informed the President about two successful test launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles carried out on September 9 and 10 from on board nuclear submarines. The minister reported that eight Russian nuclear submarines are currently on duty in three different oceans. Mr Putin instructed Mr Ivanov to make a thorough analysis of the results of the military exercises.
