President Vladimir Putin met with scientists at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Siberian Branch 2000-11-17 10:30:35 The Institute Of Nuclear Physics, Novosibirsk The meeting discussed issues related to fundamental science and new achievements of Siberian scientists. Participants in the meeting directed the President’s attention to the need to determine the direction of the development of economy and science and to concentrate on these directions. The heads of the Russian Academy of Sciences made several proposals to the President on state support and regulation of Russia’s fundamental science.
