President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of the Government of the Russian Federation 2007-09-12 15:00:55 Moscow Mr Fradkov asked to be allowed to resign from his post at a meeting with the President at the Kremlin. Mr Putin accepted Mr Fradkov’s resignation and proposed that he continue his functions as prime minister until the State Duma approves a new candidate for the post.
